What This Looks Like
What does therapy in Spanish look like here?
In Laguna Beach or by telehealth across California. You would see Beth Sandoval, AMFT.
Beth Sandoval, AMFT, supervised by Michele Hall-Preston, LMFT, holds sessions in Spanish or in English, whichever one you think in. Some clients move between the two inside a single session, which is normal and welcome. The language is yours to set, and you can change your mind once you have started.
Beth works with teens, adults and families, on trauma, depression, ADHD and anxiety. Her work is trauma-informed, and she is trained in EMDR Therapy and in Functional Family Therapy. Her full background is on her clinician page.
Everything else works the way it does for any other client here. Sessions run about 50 minutes, in our Laguna Beach office or by telehealth anywhere in California, and every new client begins with a free consult. If you would prefer that first consult in Spanish, say so when you get in touch and we will arrange it with Beth.
One thing worth saying plainly: Beth is the clinician here who works in Spanish. The rest of the team works in English. If Beth is not the right fit for what you are bringing, we will tell you that at the consult and help you find someone who is, rather than keeping you here because of the language.
